• Well calibration:

• Removal of defects in the borehole walls:

Working principle:

• Paddle design: The calibrator has paddles or plate-like elements that move along the borehole walls in a spiral path, widening and leveling the borehole. These elements can be flexible or rigid depending on the tool design.
• Cleaning and calibration process: As the tool passes through the borehole, its elements act on the walls, cleaning them of contaminants and expanding the diameter to the required parameters.
• Mud circulation: The CLS also helps improve mud circulation, which helps remove cuttings and other residue from the well.
