Used for gripping and lifting cylindrical objects with a flat surface, such as pump rods or drill pipes.
Bell with cutting edges (CC)
Equipped with carbide tipped teeth to cut or deburr the edges of an object before gripping. Used where damaged or burred surfaces are present.
Bell with catching segments (LCS)
Equipped with special catching segments to more securely grip debris. Used in difficult emergency situations where standard catching methods are ineffective.
Bell operating principle:
Lowered into the well to the location of the emergency object.
Covers the object (e.g. a broken pipe or rod).
Holds it inside with a threaded, segmented or friction grip.
Extracts the object to the surface.
Advantages of using bells:
Securely grips objects even with damaged edges
Simple design and easy operation
Possibility to extract different types of emergency objects
Reduction of the time required to eliminate emergency situations
