Types of bells and their purpose:

  • Standard bell (K)
Used for gripping and lifting cylindrical objects with a flat surface, such as pump rods or drill pipes.

  • Bell with cutting edges (CC)
Equipped with carbide tipped teeth to cut or deburr the edges of an object before gripping.
Used where damaged or burred surfaces are present.

  • Bell with catching segments (LCS)
Equipped with special catching segments to more securely grip debris.
Used in difficult emergency situations where standard catching methods are ineffective.

Bell operating principle:

  • Lowered into the well to the location of the emergency object.
  • Covers the object (e.g. a broken pipe or rod).
  • Holds it inside with a threaded, segmented or friction grip.
  • Extracts the object to the surface.

  • Securely grips objects even with damaged edges
  • Simple design and easy operation
  • Possibility to extract different types of emergency objects
  • Reduction of the time required to eliminate emergency situations
